Pennyweight Lane Exhibition 2013-15

This two year outdoor exhibition was created for twelve local artists to display their work in Pennyweight Lane in Bendigo.

The artwork is a 1m x 2m female portrait surrounded by the names of women from the affluent, creative and 'earthy' sides of Bendigo's history.

"I wanted to connect the past to the present by displaying a significant historical female figure using contemporary art practice: the ‘paste-up’ technique. There is also the connection of using the traditional method of charcoal, while going on to use high-resolution digital imagery to create the print." Chloe Neath

The artwork was drawn in charcoal (60x80cm), scanned, printed and pasted to ply board.
